+ Innovation for human mobility
Migratory movements occur within a country, or between different countries, and have been present since the origin of humanity. Whether motivated by an existential threat, or by the hope of having access to opportunities and a better future, human mobility impacts communities in many different ways, generating the need to respond with solutions focused on adaptation, inclusion and resilience.
People’s movement across borders constitutes an increasing challenge for governments and societies, and it may escalate due to internal or external conflict, the impact of climate change or acute economic and social disparities. I+D studies the experiences of different countries, communities, NGOs and international agencies on the implementation of migratory policies and promotes humanitarian and development strategies in response to an unavoidably interconnected world.
